Gerber Knife Bench Mark Tacii 1St Production Run 1985In 1979 blackie collins formed bench mark knives. In 1985 it was a division of gerber. The tac-ii model was introduced in that year and this knife is from the first production run and so marked on the blade. hTe knife is held in place by a pin that releases the blade when pushed down. 6' blade has serrations and is double edged. The blade has never been sharpened or used and has only a hint of disturbance to the finish from beign taken out of the sheath. Otherwise knife is near mint. There is no loss of finish to the hard sheath ecxept for some finish loss to the snaps. Medalion in the front of sheath reads bench makr knives usa. Lightly embossed on the back belt loop is bench mark/ division/ gerbre legendary blades/portland, ore 97233 usa. On further down the sheath is found patent pending.
